Getting started
Do you only work with businesses in Ashford?
Not at all. We started in Ashford in 2010 and have since worked with businesses across the UK and abroad.
We work remotely ourselves, so location is no barrier. We can arrange a Zoom call to discuss your requirements and, where convenient, meet face-to-face. Wherever you're based, you'll receive the same friendly, personal service and straightforward approach.
How much does a new website cost?
It depends on what you need. Every website is different, so we tailor the scope and functionality to suit your business and budget.
A simple brochure-style website will cost less than a larger multi-page site, e-commerce store or a website requiring bespoke functionality such as online bookings.
Our approach is practical and cost-effective, with a focus on delivering genuine value for your investment. We can often get a small business online with a professional, high-quality website without a large upfront cost.
How long does a new website take to build?
A small brochure website can typically be designed, built and launched within around a week, depending on the scope and how quickly we receive your content and feedback.
Larger websites, e-commerce stores and projects with bespoke functionality will naturally take longer. Once we understand your requirements, we'll provide a clear and realistic timeline from start to launch.
Do I need to write my own content?
No. We can create your website content for you, based on a conversation about your business, or work from a draft you've already prepared.
Either way, we'll make sure your content is clear, engaging and tailored to your target audience, while also being structured with SEO and Google in mind. No generic filler. Just relevant content that helps your website perform.
Working with us
What platform do you build websites on?
Most of our client sites are built on WordPress, because it gives you a website you genuinely own and can update yourself, without being locked into a proprietary platform. For online stores we build on WooCommerce. We'll always recommend the right platform for your specific needs, not just the one we default to.
Will I be able to update the site myself afterwards?
Yes. We build every site so you can make simple changes yourself (updating prices, adding a photo, editing a page) and we offer one-to-one WordPress training if you'd like a proper hands-on session. If you'd rather we handled updates for you, that's what our website maintenance service is for.
What happens after the site goes live?
We don't disappear the moment your site goes live. Most clients move on to an ongoing maintenance arrangement so we keep the site updated and secure, but there's no obligation. The site is yours either way.
SEO & being found
How long does SEO take to show results?
SEO is a gradual process rather than an overnight fix. Most businesses start seeing meaningful movement in rankings within three to six months, depending on how competitive your industry is locally. We focus on steady, sustainable improvements rather than quick tricks that can get penalised later.
Can you help my business show up in ChatGPT and AI search results?
Yes. This is what we call Answer Search Optimisation. As more people ask AI assistants like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity for local recommendations instead of typing a search, we structure and write your site's content so these tools can understand your business clearly and recommend it as a direct answer.
Do you offer Google Business Profile setup?
Yes. For a local business, your Google Business Profile is often just as important as your website for being found nearby. We can set it up or tidy up an existing profile as part of our SEO service.
Support & pricing
What's your hourly rate?
Our standard rate is £55 per hour, which covers most ongoing work: maintenance, content updates, SEO and training. New website builds are usually quoted as a fixed project price instead, so you know the total cost upfront.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance plans?
Yes. Our website maintenance service covers software updates, security, backups and content changes, so your site stays safe and current without you having to think about it.
What if I already have a website and just need help with it?
That's fine. Plenty of our work is helping existing sites rather than building from scratch, whether that's a redesign, fixing a security issue, improving SEO, or just training you up to manage it yourself.
Still have a question?
We're happy to talk it through on the phone, no obligation.
